The Fund for St. John's
The Fund for St. John’s is the school’s annual giving program, providing immediate support for financial aid, academics, athletics, campus ministry, the arts, and student life. It helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the full cost of a Prep education.

Annual Initatives
St. John’s Prep’s fiscal year runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. While we welcome donations at any point throughout the year, we appreciate that many supporters wish to align their giving with one or more of our community-wide Fund for St. John’s initiatives.
- December 1, 2026: Giving Tuesday
- December 31, 2026: Last day of the calendar year to give
- March 10, 2027: Giving Day
- April 28–May 10, 2027: Prep Annual Online Auction
- June 9, 2027: Honor Reception
- June 30, 2027: Last day of the fiscal year to give
Immediate Impact
Gifts made to the Fund for St. John's are used within the fiscal year they're given. So your donation will immediately go to help students at the Prep now, whether that's offsetting the cost of a campus ministry service trip, providing necessary equipment for athletic teams, or providing the tuition assistance that makes attending St. John's a possibility for families.

Endowment
Essential for every independent school, an endowment is a permanent investment fund established through charitable gifts. The principal is preserved while a portion of earnings is used each year to support priorities such as scholarships, faculty, programs, and facilities, providing long-term financial stability.
Planned Giving
Making a planned gift is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for St. John's Prep and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, and philanthropic goals. With smart planning, you may actually increase the size of your estate and/or reduce the tax burden on your heirs. Just as important, you will know that you have made a meaningful contribution to St. John's Prep.

Donor Recognition Socities
The following societies recognize the Prep’s leadership, loyal, and legacy donors—and the indelible impact they make on our students today and into the future.
Head of School Council
The Head of School Council celebrates our most generous supporters who advance the mission and values of St. John’s Prep through their philanthropic leadership. Council members contribute a cumulative total of $1,000 or more annually (July 1 - June 30) to the Fund for St. John’s, the endowment, and/or other philanthropic priorities. In addition, the Council also includes the 15 youngest classes of alumni who have made contributions totalling $500 or more during the year.
True Blue Society
Honoring our most loyal alumni donors, the True Blue Society recognizes alumni who have donated to St. John’s for five or more consecutive years at any gift level. In the most recent fiscal year, True Blue members comprised 35 percent of all alumni donors, with representation ranging from the Class of 1944 to the youngest True Blue members in the Class of 2025.
1907 Society
Named after our founding year, the 1907 Society acknowledges members of the Prep community who have included St. John’s in their estate plans. Through their thoughtful planning and generosity, these donors play a significant role in ensuring the Prep’s vibrant and vigorous future for generations to come.

Annual Impact Report
