Understanding the Past, Shaping the Future

SOCIAL STUDIES

The Social Studies Department challenges students to develop the knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for the growth of an informed, caring, and active member of the world community.

Social Studies at St. John's Prep empowers students to understand the forces that have shaped our world and prepares them to shape its future. Through the study of history, government, economics, geography, and culture, students develop the critical thinking, research, and communication skills to analyze complex issues, appreciate diverse perspectives, and lead as informed, engaged citizens.
