The Mahoney Wellness Center Café will be closed this Thursday due to parent/teacher conferences.

 

Congratulations to our SJP football team on winning the Division 1 North Championship for the second year in the row!

 

Student Council will host a dress down day to benefit the MA Coalition for the Homeless and Catholic Charities Thanksgiving program on Friday, November 22. Checks should be made payable to the organization of your choice. Suggested donation is $5. Thank you for your generosity!

 

Do you plan on trying out for lacrosse next spring?  There will be an informational meeting for all candidates for the 2020 lacrosse team after school on TODAY in room X302.  If you can not make the meeting please see Coach Pynchon.

 

Want to help plan tailgates, make student section t-shirts and plan themes for each game? Then come be a part of Prep Pride. We meet every Tues. from 2:45-3:30 in room K216

 

Photography club will meet on Tuesday at 2:45 in K217. We'll be talking about our favorite photographers and sharing their work. We'll also begin to learn about bokeh photography as we near the holidays!

 

Campus Ministry is offering a leadership opportunity for all students in grade 10, 11, and 12. We need leaders for the Freshmen Retreat on December 13, 2019. If interested, you will need to have a teacher acknowledgement form and waiver filled out, and attend a leadership training on Thursday at 5:00pm in Campus Ministry. Please contact Mr. Hatgas with any questions.

 

Freshman interested in running for the position of Freshman Class Representative on the Student Council must attend one of the upcoming Student Council Election Information meetings.  Meetings will be held:

Today at the start of each lunch

Wednesday, November 20th at 2:45 pm

All meetings will be held in the Student Life Office.  Please see Mrs Olson with any questions.

 

The Spire Society will have a meeting in the Chapel this Wednesday at 8:15 am. All members are expected to attend one of these meetings.

 

Attention all hockey players that plan to attend hockey tryouts this year.  There will be a very brief, but mandatory sign up meeting at 2:40pm on Wednesday, November 20th in the multi-purpose room of the Wellness Center. Any questions should be directed to Coach Hennessey.

Love trivia?...... Want to eat food? Come to the MACD Trivia event this Thursday in the Keneally commons from 3:45 to 4:45! Food will be provided and fun will be had! There will be prizes for the winning team.

 

Are you Happy?"  Come to Philosophy Club this Friday to discuss this essential Human Question.  Aristotle has some thoughts to share in X406 after school.  All are welcome!

 

On Saturday, the St. John’s Prep Cross Country team won the All State Division 1 Cross Country Championship race at the Gardner Municipal Golf Course, congratulations!  (The team was lead by senior captain Steven Jackson who was 4th in the race.    Nathan Lopez, Noah Mooney, George Nikolakopoulos, Declan Sheehan, Connor Hughes and Pat Hosman finished  the scoring for St. John’s with a total of 112 points to defeat the 180 runners and top 20 teams in the Division.)

 

Join Young Republicans for its second session of “Timely Topical Talks with Teachers” in which Mr. Pynchon leads a discussion titled “Cancel Culture’s Clash with Christopher Columbus’s Crimes.” Club meets Wednesday, right after school in X302. You won’t want to miss it!"

 

On Monday, November 25, Campus Ministry will be collecting donations of frozen turkeys to benefit Lazarus House in Lawrence.  They will collect Turkey's on the Patio behind Xavier and in the Lobby of Ben Hall.  Last year we broke the record by collecting over 500 turkey's.  Let's break the record again!!!!
