Today is Day 4  in the schedule rotation. Reminder, ID should be on  a lanyard around students’ necks. Please send any students without an ID to the main office. 

Students wishing to go down to CLAS for homework help with our NHS tutors should come to the main office after school.

Drama Guild rehearsal is cancelled today. 

Any 6th grader interested in developmental mountain biking should meet Coach Fitzgerald at the clock tower after school.  Please email him if you have any questions at

Eagle Cafe kicks off today during both lunches. We will be talking about self care and ways to combat stress and anxiety. See Mrs. Gorham or Mrs. Liwo for details.

Join us on Thurs. Oct 17 to watch Coco and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!  This will be a middle and high school event. Seating is limited, and first come first serve. Sign up to attend by emailing Ms. Chris!

Pray the rosary in the chapel on Wednesdays from 2:40 to 3:00 pm. Students wishing to attend should meet in Mr. Driscoll’s office..  All parents are welcome to join.

NEW! Middle School Parent Retreat: Come to this special retreat on Friday, November 8 from 8:30 am to 2 pm at Rolling Ridge Retreat Center in North Andover, MA. This is a wonderful opportunity for all Middle School parents to spend time together, in quiet and prayer, and get to know other Middle School parents. You'll also hear from Middle School faculty and staff who will share their experiences and insights as parents. The cost of this retreat is $60 per parent, and financial assistance is available. October 13: Blessing of the Animals

The Animal Welfare Club is hosting the eighth annual Blessing of the Animals event on Sunday, October 13th – in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at 11:00 am. The rain date will be Sunday, October 27th. The event will take place on the lawn in front of the Studzinski Library. We invite family and friends to come to this free event with or without an animal to celebrate the holiness of all creation and to ask God's blessing on our animals. All visitors are welcome.

NEW Important - October 16 - Special Schedule

  • Grades 6 and 7 will take part in a service day from 8 to 11:30 am. They will be released at 11:45 am. Regular dress code.

  • Grade 8 students will take the PSAT in assigned classrooms on the third floor of Brother Benjamin Hall. Students should arrive to school by 8 am for attendance in regular dress code. Students should bring #2 sharpened pencils, a four-function calculator, water, and a book. iPads are not allowed in the testing rooms. Students may leave at the conclusion of the testing at approximately 11:30 am to noon.

  • Buses will depart from behind Xavier Hall at 1:15 pm; Middle School students will be walked to the buses.

  • Middle School: Breakfast service from 7:30 to 8 am; optional lunch from 12-12:45 pm. The Digital Commons will be open only after school from 12:45 to 2 pm. The Dining Commons will be open from 7 until 8 am and then from 11:45 am to 3 pm. An optional lunch will be available from 12:00-12:45pm

October 17: Middle School Picture Days

Middle School students will have their pictures taken on October 17. Students are required to be in dress code; ties are optional. These photos will be used in the yearbook and are available to purchase. Prestige by Lifetouch, our school photographer, will mail purchase information to your home. If you would like to buy the photos, your son should bring the completed form and payment with him on the day he has his picture taken.

October 22 and 24 - Grade 8 Information Sessions: St. John's will host two information sessions for current grade 8 families to learn more about the High School: one on October 22 from 7:30 to 8:30 am, and the other on October 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm. Both sessions will be held in the A.E. Studzinski Library. Families will have the opportunity to hear from students who made the transition from grade 8 to 9 at St. John's, as well as our freshman life coordinator, Ali Souris. Faculty and staff will also be on hand to speak about academics, co-curricular opportunities, wellness, placement, and athletics. No registration necessary.

October 25 - Optional Grade 6 Retreat: Campus Ministry is offering an on-campus "Learning Wellness" retreat for grade 6 students on Friday, October 25 from 3 to 6:30 pm. Dinner will be provided. Please use this form to register your son for the grade 6 retreat. If you have any questions, please contact Michael Driscoll.

English+ for Eighth Grade Parents: Does your eighth grader enjoying reading? Would he like to stretch his critical thinking skills? If so, he may be interested in English+, a new program that entails reading, book discussions, and writing assignments. Sign up on the Parent Portal using this link -

Afternoon Pick-Up for Middle School Sports: Families must park in a designated spot until you are sure your student is ready to be picked up. All pick-ups should take place under the covered carport between Brother Benjamin Hall and Kaneb Theater. Please—no idling while you wait. Buses arrive at this time, and the safest spot for pick-up after 3 pm is under this carport. 

Inactive Eagle Express Cards: In an effort to speed up lunch lines, Eagle Express cards deemed inactive at the Schools' dining registers will be removed beginning Monday, October 7. Inactive cards are those that have been reported as lost/misplaced and no longer function for purchases or access to campus buildings. If an inactive card is later found, students are also encouraged to return inactive Eagle Express cards to the main office. Should your son need an active replacement card, they must go to the Brother Benjamin Hall main office to order a replacement card. Please refer to the Info You Need to Know page for more information about reporting a lost card. We appreciate your help with this effort.
