Philanthropy has always played a lead role in the Prep’s ability to deliver on its mission of educating young men of faith, brotherhood, and wisdom. This legacy of generosity dates back to 1907, when Brother Benjamin sought to build a school that not only provided a rigorous academic environment, but also sought to educate young leaders who would go out and change the world for the better.
A defining characteristic of the St. John’s Prep culture is a spirit of generosity that connects students, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, and friends. We most commonly refer to it as the Prep brotherhood, but the fellowship of the St. John’s family extends far beyond our students and graduates, creating a powerful force for good in the world. We are grateful to all those who invest annually to make sure this unique phenomenon remains a reality for young men of the Prep today. This community’s willingness to inspire and enrich students now and for many years to come with financial support is an awe-inspiring blessing.
Thank you for helping to change the lives of the 1,500 young men who come to campus every day, and for bolstering the broader School community that supports them. It’s important to look back on this past fiscal year and say ‘we are grateful.’ It’s also imperative to keep our eyes on the prize. These are incredibly exciting times at St. John’s, and we are made stronger as a consequence of your once and future investment in our boys’ potential. Why? Because your gift gives them the means and motivation to change the world.
