Dear Students, Parents, Faculty, and Staff:
As mentioned in last Friday's email, you can expect to receive at least one message a week regarding important updates to the start of school. In this message you will find information about student schedules and updates related to fine arts classes and physical education. Please take a moment to review this information carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
Class Schedules
Class schedules for students, faculty, and staff will be available tomorrow, August 19 at 3 pm. We are still in the process of finalizing the lunch rotations, which will be added to Veracross once available. Prefect assignments for faculty are in the process of being assigned and will be available through Veracross in the coming weeks. We will also be sharing booklist information in the coming days, as well as purchase and delivery details.
To see your son's schedule, log into the Parent Portal and click on the link to Veracross under the heading "Parent Gateway." Then, click "Classes & Reports" followed by the "Current Class Schedule" link on the right side of the page. If you are unable to access Veracross, please contact Mr. Kevin Noel at 978-774-1050 x396 to confirm that your FACTS account is current.
You will see the following notation for students as part of their schedule. These indicate which cohort your son has been placed in:
A = Student is in Cohort A
B = Student is in Cohort B
Remote = Student is a fully remote learner
Cohorts and subsequently, cohort assignments, were designed to de-densify classrooms and allow for additional distancing between students. It is important to note that a significant amount of time was dedicated to the placement process. The time frame and deadlines for schedule changes are listed in the Student Handbook, but please note these important points now:
- If you see an obvious error on your schedule, please let us know.
Juniors or seniors: Email Dr. Mark McManmon, Assistant Principal for Academics, Grades 11 and 12, or call 978-624-1350. - Freshmen or sophomores: Email Mrs. Stacy Banos, Assistant Principal of Academics, Grades 9 and 10, or call 978-624-1300.
- Middle School: Email Mr. Jason Larocque, Associate Principal for Grade 6, 7 and 8, or call 978-624-1409.
Students who wish to make an optional change to their schedule should contact their school counselor when classes begin. Please keep in mind that absent extenuating circumstances we cannot honor the placement of students based on teacher preference.
Additional Information
In addition to the updated shared above, we have also received guidelines related to fine arts classes and physical education. While we are working through the details for these types of classes, we can share with you that we will work within the guidelines given to us and that these courses will remain part of our curriculum. More information about fine arts and physical education classes will be provided at a later date.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to be in touch.
