Dr. Edward P. Hardiman P'19 '21 '26
16th Head of School
A product of a Xaverian Brothers education himself, Dr. Hardiman joined the St. John’s Prep community in 2003 as principal. Prior to joining the administration, Hardiman served as a Jesuit novice in Ecuador, then as a campus minister and history teacher at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood. In 2011, Hardiman was named as the School’s 16th head of school by the Board of Trustees. During his tenure, he has overseen the opening of the Middle School, the construction of the Br. Edward Keefe, C.F.X. Academic Center, as well as the development of the School’s wellness program and construction of the 80,000-square foot Leo and Joan Mahoney Wellness Center. “I’m humbled and grateful to carry on the legacy of the Xaverian Brothers heads of schools. Their vision of what education could be, especially for young men, continues to inspire and guide my outlook and work every day.”
Dr. Keith A. Crowley
Principal/Associate Head of School
Dr. Crowley serves as Principal and Associate Head of School at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, Massachusetts, where he oversees the academic, co-curricular, and student life programs that support the School’s mission of educating young men in the Xaverian tradition. Since joining the Prep in 2011, he has helped guide the school through a period of significant growth and innovation while remaining committed to its values of faith, brotherhood, and excellence. Prior to St. John’s, Dr. Crowley served in several leadership roles at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, including Assistant Principal for Academics, and taught science at both the secondary and collegiate levels. A trained physical therapist, he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Springfield College and a doctorate in Educational Administration from Boston College. He remains passionate about student growth and formation.
