Classes for Adults
907. El Mundo Hispanico: Intro to Spanish Language and Culture
Come explore the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking world as this course promises to guide motivated adult students through the basic vocabulary and grammatical structures needed for conversation in Spanish. With the help of authentic sources (websites, newspapers, radio, television, and movies), each student will have the opportunity to develop the major skills needed to acquire a new world language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students will actively learn and use different vocabulary and grammar topics each class session as well as discuss the various cultures within the Spanish-speaking world. With this “hands-on” approach to active language learning, each student will fully be able to participate in basic conversation by the end of the first class meeting!
