Mr. Broderick's Blog

You found my blog!  Now you can truly be at peace and begin your journey to enlightenment.  My name is Tim Broderick and I graduated from St. John's in 2005. I went to Boston College and then came back to the Prep immediately. It's like I never left high school. This is my fifth year teaching history and computer science. I also coach sports that begin with letter S - soccer, skiing and sailing. I hope you enjoy the blog, but I know you already feel better just from my intro. Enlightenment is within reach. See you around campus and go make it a great day.

Prom and stuff

Senior Prom went down on Friday. Yes, it went down. It did not happen or take place or go on, it went down. Thankfully, I was not there! Just kidding. From what I heard it was a great time for all involved, even the chaperones. See, I was the lucky one. Mr. Munro, Mr. Pelkey, Mr. McHenry and myself actually. We chaperoned the after prom party! Along with a lot of very nice parents who did far more than me. The Prom ends around 11PM and afterward all the students have the option to go to a senior get together with their dates at Latitude on Route 1 in Peabody. The entire thing is put together by volunteer parents who work all year to organize it. There is a hypnotist, enough food to feed Munro and I, blackjack tables, a pool, a rock wall, etc. Yeah, it sounds fun.  You just have to stay up until 4AM.  Yeah. 4AM. I've never been up that late in my life. Until last Friday. And then I slept until Sunday. And then Monday was brutal. Ok, I'm done complaining. Oh and I must give credit where it is due...I did not take either of these pictures, that was Mr. Lynch, German teacher and head of the Yearbook Staff. He did have to go to both of these lovely events and as a result has been given the rest of the year off. No he hasn't. Hopefully he makes it.
