Mr. Broderick's Blog

You found my blog!  Now you can truly be at peace and begin your journey to enlightenment.  My name is Tim Broderick and I graduated from St. John's in 2005. I went to Boston College and then came back to the Prep immediately. It's like I never left high school. This is my fifth year teaching history and computer science. I also coach sports that begin with letter S - soccer, skiing and sailing. I hope you enjoy the blog, but I know you already feel better just from my intro. Enlightenment is within reach. See you around campus and go make it a great day.

Grundy, VA !

This is my 3rd year going down to Grundy, Virginia over April vacation on the school service trip.  The trip lasts a week and we fix homes and get to know some of the residents in Grundy.  I think that photos will do a better job than me writing about it so here they are.

The van ride down.  Enough said.  I had to drive these kids.  Now you feel bad for me.  I did too.  I got over it, I had no other choice.

So we did some sightseeing too.  This is the battlefield at Gettysburg, the battle that essentially swung the Civil War for the Union. This is the field Robert E. Lee ordered his troops to cross in order to take the high ground in the distance.  Most of his troops were killed or wounded trying to take the hills.

Here are some Prep guys working and hanging gutters (right) and sleeping (left).  Hey, they work hard, they deserve a break sometime.  Maybe not on a roof.

The kids messing around.  Yes, it is supposed to be a fun trip too.
