Prep 20/20 Task Force Initiative
Strategic Planning Directives and Community Input
The Prep 20/20 Task Force Initiative was set in motion when it became clear that action items that emerged from a community meeting in January 2011 dovetailed closely with directives that had been identified in the Prep's strategic planning process.
The goal of the Task Force Initiative is to engage students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and trustees in assessing key areas of Prep life, and using the directives identified through the strategic planning process, developing specific ways to build on our strengths and enhance the long-term viability of the Prep experience.
Task Force Responsibilities
The Prep 20/20 Task Forces Initiative calls for creating two groups to focus on distinct areas of school life: 1.) Diversity and Inclusivity, and 2.) Environmental Sustainability. Each task force is asked to:
- Assess the current realities of the area of focus;
- Identify needs to enhance and develop the area focus in alignment with the PREP 20/20 strategic directives and the St. John's Prep mission;
- Develop recommendations for outcome-based short term and long term action items as well as rubrics for assessing the effectiveness of recommendations.
Each task force is asked to submit a report to the Headmaster and the Board of Trustees by January 3, 2013. The Board will review a final report of action items and goals at their meeting in January 2013.
Each task force group will consist of faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, students and parents. Co-chairs will be selected for each group and all task force members will attend an opening session that will ground the work of the task force in:
