*You MUST have an updated physical on file in the school nurses office before you begin the fall season. Concussion materials and corresponding concussion forms must all be read and signed before the season of play begins. These are mandatory forms required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. You can find all concussion information in the athletics section of our school website*

*Reminder: There will be a pre-season meeting for all fall student-athletes and parents on Tuesday, August 21 inside Memorial Gymnasium beginning at 7 PM. Sport specific dates, times, and concussion information will all be discussed* 

Varsity Golf Tryouts:

All candidates must fill out the Golf Team Registration Form (found below), by August 5, and email it to head coach, Larry O'Neill, loneill4@comcast.net. Tryouts are 18 holes each day on the main course at Far Corner Golf Club in West Boxford.

• Thursday, August 23 - 7:30 AM
• Monday, August 27 - 8 AM
• Tuesday, August 28 - 8 AM
  
  There will be a $10 greens fee per round payable to the coach on the first tee. Proper attire is required. Cuts will be made after each round. The coach will choose 10 players for the varsity team.

JV Golf Tryouts:

Candidates will play 18 holes each day. The first two rounds will be played on the Third Nine. The final round will be played on the main course. Cuts will be made after each round. The coach will choose 12 players for the JV team. Proper attire is required and the $10 greens fee will be collected by the coach first hole. All candidates must fill out the Golf Team Registration Form (found below) and email it to coach Bob Marinelli, rmarinelli@stjohnsprep.org, no later than August 10.

ALL CANDIDATES SHOULD BE AT THE FIRST TEE OF THE “ HAWK COURSE” 10 MINUTES BEFORE TEE TIME. THE DRESS CODE DURING TRYOUTS INCLUDES: GOLF SHIRT TUCKED IN AT ALL TIMES; GOLF SLACKS OR SHORTS; AND SOFT SPIKED GOLF SHOES. PLEASE LEAVE THE PRACTICE AREA EARLY ENOUGH TO MAKE YOUR TEE TIME AS THE 1ST TEE OF THE “HAWK COURSE” IS SOME 10 MINUTES AWAY.
