Our mission is to share with students a systematic approach to exploring the natural world. Using scientific inquiry, the department will convey the means by which science creates knowledge. As students develop, the insights that they have gained into the methods and purposes of science will enable them to add depth and breadth to their knowledge about the world. Our curriculum teaches students to organize information, to think critically and to take responsibility for their actions.
